Terrifying amusement parks and haunted circuses
Weekends and vacations are a time of rest and fun. Many cities offer us a wide variety of attractions. Often one of them is an amusement park. 1. Amusement Park in Lake Shawnee, Virginia
He has been working since 1926. He was supposed to provide recreation and leisure of workers living in nearby areas. But in 1966, after the tragic death of two children, the amusement park was closed. Even then, it was rumored that this was a disastrous place.
The territory on which the amusement park was built, had a bloody history. These lands were inhabited by Indians. In 1783, a confrontation took place between them and the European settlers. Apparently, the Indians killed the son of one of the settlers Mitchell Clay. The fight broke out, during which the farmer’s second child, Tabith’s daughter, was killed. And the eldest son was kidnapped and burned at the stake. A distraught father killed several Indians, including children.
Many years after these events, Conley Shidow bought the land. He decided that the place was perfect for an amusement park. He did not suspect, however, that the ghosts of the murdered children would pursue him. Swings and carousels themselves set in motion. Now and then a mysterious creaking, crying and screaming, and sometimes laughter and sounds of playing children, spread throughout the park. By the way, some claimed that at night they heard drumming and ritual singing. They also saw the spirit of a girl in a white dress, stained with blood. In addition to her, other mysterious individuals in Indian clothing also visited the park. In addition, two children died in the park. The girl was killed by a truck that crashed into a carousel. Soon after, the boy drowned in a pond. Then it was decided to terminate the activities of this amusement park. Such a fate overtook other similar abandoned amusement parks.
Park in Lake Shawnee has a very bad reputation. The current owner of the site planned to divide the land into small plots and sell them. But his reputation attracts only ghostbusters and thrill-seekers. Therefore, a week before Halloween, the park is open to visitors. It often happens that tourists want to spend the night in its territory. But many of them flee at night from this damned place. During archaeological work in the amusement park found thirteen skeletons. But apparently there are many more.An amusement park in Lake Shawnee is not the only such facility. Although it is currently quite difficult to get to the ghost town of Pripyat, located near Chernobyl, people who succeeded in this reported a deserted amusement park in the area. 2. Okpo Land Park in Korea
It operated from the beginning of the 80s until 1999. He was called the park of death. The park was closed after two people died on its territory. The first was a woman whose death was concealed, and the second was a little girl who died in a line of duck carriages.
After the second case, the owner of the park ran away, which resulted in the closure of this entertainment. 3. The Gandini Circus in Edmond, Oklahoma

4. The Circus Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey in Hartwford, Connecticut
He performed in 1944. More than seven thousand people gathered in the tent. Shortly after the show began, a fire broke out. A part of the tent impregnated with paraffin for density has fallen on a frightened audience. This only intensified the fire that killed 168 people. The most famous victim of this tragedy is a little girl in a white dress. Her identity was established only in 1991. This is Eleanor Cook, which the media called “Little Miss 1565”.
