Physical fitness can save from any excesses that often make the trip to the mountains even more painful. In order for you to rest your soul, you need to properly stock up on equipment, as well as special food.
1. Clothing
Cotton things, which we diligently try to find in ordinary life, have one property, because of which they are not worth taking them to the campaign in the mountains: they are slowly drying. Therefore, especially in winter, you must take clothes from synthetic polyester, which will protect from moisture and wind. Moreover, we can not forget about the warm things that should be stocked in duplicate. Also, do not forget about what will protect your hands and face: with this you will be helped by insulated mittens and a hat-balaclava.
2. Products
It would seem that the benefits bring candy in the campaign. However, things are not as simple as they seem: they not only raise their spirits, but also save them from dizziness, which happens because of the pressure drop. Remember that all the things you have to carry on your back, so try not to carry half a shop with you. Stock up on the fact that it does not weigh much: for example, instead of tin cans with meat, you can take dried. Hiking in the mountains will not give you the opportunity to cook complex and multi-stage dishes, so you should take with you everything that you can just brew, cut or fry on fire.
One day trip
In any campaign, no matter how many days, you need to take what will help you stay healthy: a first aid kit, personal documents, anti-frost cream and, of course, a phone with GPS or a special device for orientation to the terrain. In addition, it is worth taking a powerbank, because the working equipment you may need at any stage of the journey. Moreover, for a small number of days, you don’t need to carry a kettle and a burner on your back, because during this time you will be able to feed on snacks, fruit and simple sandwiches.
A trip to the mountains for several days
The longer you are on the hike, the more personal items you need. On a multi-day journey, you must have a burner and a kettle, several bottles of clean water, matches, a saw, and personal hygiene items. Moreover, you need to take care of food with a margin of several days. It is better to refuse tents with lightning, because it freezes in the cold. In addition, you can take insulating mats (skins, karemats) that will not let you freeze during sleep.
